We have never noticed delays or fluctuations in the signal in the transmission, which is always linear and clean. In a third test we also added a headphone by connecting it to the front audio output.

On another occasion we made the same optical connection, however, choosing the analog output (white and red) of the DAC to connect an old audio system we had at home. In one of our tests we connected the optical output of the TV to the respective socket on the DAC, the latter (after having previously powered it) then we connected it to the DVD player via the coaxial cable. This device can be used for example to connect a DVD player to the TV. This digital-to-analog converter operates on sample rates: 32KHz, 44.1KHz, 48KHz, 96KHz and 192KHz, up to 24bits. If necessary, it can also be connected to the USB output of the TV or to an emergency battery for sporadic use (for example at a garden party to connect the audio system to a projector). Technical specificationsĪvantree DAC01 can be powered by connecting it to the appropriate 5V power supply included in the package which delivers 1A. It is therefore important that the digital output of the device to which it is connected can be set to PCM / LPCM output in order to avoid device malfunctions. It should be noted that the DAC in question only supports PCM / LPCMe audio signals, it does not support Dolby, DTS or other surround signals. On the back there is instead the microUSB input for the power supply, the Optical and Coaxial inputs (yellow) and the analog stereo audio output (red and white). Specifically, on the front side there is the switch to select the coaxial or digital input, the headphone output (3.5mm jack) and the On / Off switch integrated in a volume adjustment knob. Each socket is far from the others and marked by the relative colors and by an indication to recognize it at a glance. Constructively, there is little to complain about: it is very compact (8.4 x 6.2 x 2.3 centimeters) and the case is made entirely of brushed metal.
